Polina Volynkina was awarded by The Venice Film Festival

"Paradise", film by Andrei Konchalovsky, in which crew our graduate Polina Volynkina worked as a sound producer, claims for the "Oscar". The film has won two awards of the 73rd Venice Film Festival : Silver Lion for Best Director and a special award Soundtrack Stars Award for the soundtrack

The XIth International Student Theoretical and Practical Conference "Language. Speech. Culture " was held in St.Petersburg State University of Film and Television

This conference, organized by the Department of Journalism, was attended by more than 100 speakers, who made reports on the subject of etymology, speech activity, the rules of speech and writing, professional ethics and etiquette of speech, language in the fictional movies, social networks and Internet memes.

Every year the competition "Miss and Mister SPSUFT" gives the opportunity to students to fulfill themselves by various creative ways. The level of professionalism of the participants grows and the show gathers a full auditorium. This year it was so many people willing to watch such an amazing and colorful performance, so it wasn`t enough the seats in the concert hall for all, and the audience settled down on the steps of the hall.

The exhibition "O Cinema, You Are the World!" opened in the Archival Committee of St. Petersburg A

The exhibition was prepared in the framework of the Year of Russian cinema and was dedicated to the 313 th birthday of St. Petersburg. “French St.Petersburg and Russian Paris”

July 12, the premiere of the film "French Petersburg" took place, it is the joint work of students of creative specialties of St.Petersburg State University of Film and Television and the International Film School of Paris EICAR. The film combined wonderful stories of the French emigrants in St. Petersburg, such as the coordinator of French events, the French teacher and a bar owner.

The International Finnish project of 2015 is completed

The premiere of the documentary short film "Repin. Life on the border” took place in the Museum “Estate of I.Ye.Repin “Penates” within the framework of The Night of Museums. This film is the result of joint work of students of creative specialties of St.Petersburg State University of Film and Television and students of The Faculty of Media of The University of Applied Sciences of Karelia (Joensuu, Finland), participated in the international project of student and teacher exchange, which is the fourth year successfully connects the film crew of Russian and Finnish students.

September 6, 2014 the crew of the film "White Nights of Postman Alexey Tryapitsyn " looked forward to the announcement of the results of the 71th Venice Film Festival. Award for Best Director, which Andrei Konchalovsky has won, became a momentous event for the Russian cinema. The University of Film and Television is also proud, because our graduates worked in crew of this film.

Representatives of the University attended one of the world biggest forums dedicated to the problems of digital television and digital cinema in Amsterdam. According to the results of the University delegation participation, executive producer of conference IBC-2014 Professor David Crawford sent letter of thanks to the rector, professor Alexander D. Evmenov.
