David Pozdyrka is the winner of the Echo BRICS Film Festival

David's film What Happened Before the Guests Had Arrived won the first prize in the Short Film category at the Echo BRICS Film Festival.

The film shows a complicated relationship between a guy and a girl, brothers, children and parents. Roman, the main character, arrives to his hometown from Moscow, where he studies photography. His brother Gleb plans to marry soon, and the family arranges a holiday to celebrate the engagement. Only thing is that his brother's fiancée is Sonya – the girl whom Roman had been dating before leaving for Moscow. Just before his arrival, Roman discovers that he was expelled, because he did not create any new projects. The creator has a crisis. All the characters have to sort out themselves and their relationships, solve old problems and try not to create new ones. But it turns out to be not easy, because Roman and Sonya catch the feelings for each other again.

David Pozdyrka is a student of the A. Antonov's workshop at SPUFT.

Echo BRICS Film Festival is an international festival that brings together filmmakers from the BRICS countries, promotes the creation of new cultural ties and introduces audience to the brightest creative representatives of the film industry.

Shooting of the first Russian-Chinese feature film "The Last Drop" started at SPUFT

On 29 July, Natalia Gorina, Head of the Department of Film and Television Production, held a meeting with Evelyn Mutsvanvgwa, Legal Advisor to the Ministry of Youth, Sports, Arts and Recreation of the Republic of Zimbabwe, who was the representative of the official Zimbabwean delegation at the Second Russia-Africa Summit and Economic and Humanitarian Forum held in St. Petersburg on 27-28 July 2023.

Chinese students were welcomed at SPUFT

On May 15, a solemn meeting of foreign guests took place at the St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television. Students and teachers from Hainan Normal University were welcomed by representatives of the university. As part of the foreign delegation, Secretary of the Committee of the Youth Union Cai Ting and acting teacher Ruan Yongchen visited St. Petersburg.

SPUFT graduate's film premiered at the Busan International Short Film Festival

The world premiere of the film Aykuo by Ayaal Adamov took place within the framework of the Busan International Short Film Festival. The film is the graduation work of the student of Alexander Sokurov's class of the Saint Petersburg State University of Film and Television.

Olga Lyubimova: "The INtonations Festival has become the main industrial platform for those who work with sound"

The grand opening of the IX International Film Festival of Student Works of Sound Engineers "INtonations" took place at the Saint Petersburg State University of Film and Television. More than 500 applications from 22 countries were submitted to the Festival, 69 works are included in the competition program.

The INtonations Festival updated the record for the number of applications for participation

The IX International Film Festival of Student Works by Sound Engineers INtonations has set a new record for the number of applications for participation. In total, the organizers received 576 works, of which 114 came from Russian film schools and 462 from foreign ones.
