The V International Children's Film Festival Cinema Kids will begin on April 13

The Fifth International Children's Film Festival Cinema Kids will be held in Saint Petersburg from April 13 to 17, 2022. This year, about 500 film works of children and teenagers from different cities and countries took part in the competition. The festival helps children to try themselves as screenwriters, actors, directors.

"Children make movies for children!" - the motto of the Cinema Kids International Film Festival. The film festival is attended by schoolchildren from Russia (Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Chelyabinsk, Novosibirsk, Gorno-Altaysk, Luchegorsk, Kirov, Nizhny Novgorod, Yaroslavl, Vladimir, Lipetsk, etc.), Belarus, Kazakhstan, Mari-El, etc.

Those, who are passionate about cinema and video creation, will show their works to the audience and receive an assessment by the masters of cinema, including: Honored Artist of Russia Valentina Panina; Rector of the Academy of Television and Radio of Armenia Armine Avdalyan; Deputy of the Legislative Assembly of Saint Petersburg; theater and film actress Anastasia Melnikova; Candidate of Historic Sciences, Professor of the Department of Film and Television Directing Kazan State Institute of Culture, Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan, Director of "Tatarkino" Milyausha Aituganova; Soviet and Uzbek actor Rustam Sagdullaev; actor, director, laureate of international competitions Georges Devdariani and many others. 

Since the first film festival (since 2018), employees of the Production Department of SPUFT, who themselves are leading producers, actors and directors, have been actively involved in its organization. Among the jury and guests of honor: the honorary guest of the film festival is the rector of SPUFT, Ph.D., producer and screenwriter Natalia Gorina; Vice-Rector for Academic and Scientific Work, Ph.D. Director of the Saint Petersburg's Cinema House Alexander Babayan; Dean of the Faculty of Screen Arts of SPUFT, PhD Pavel Danilov; Dean of the Faculty of Additional Educational Programs, Associate Professor, Candidate of Economics Ekaterina Sazonova. Associate Professors of the Department of Production Vadim Karev, Ilshat Bikbulatov, Alexey Snezhko, Irina Sakharova. The president of the film festival is a member of the Association of Film and Television Producers, general producer and co-founder of the Triixmedia film company Sergey Shcheglov.

The rich and diverse program of the Cinema Kids film festival is prepared not only for young filmmakers, but also for a wide range of visitors: children and teenagers planning to enter a creative university, as well as their parents. The program includes master classes, meet the artist events, workshops, a gala concert, a fashion show on the red carpet, a premiere of films, and honoring winners.

The film festival will be held in a modern format (online and offline), in the Cinema House  (Karavannaya Street, 12). Participation in the film festival is free.

The general director of the film festival is Vlasta Arno, film director, producer, member of the Union of Cinematographers, director of the Cinema International Film School.

The general producer of the film festival is Nadezhda Sabelnikova, Associate Professor of the Production Department of SPUFT, Candidate of Economics, member of the Union of Cinematographers, Academician of the Eurasian Academy of Television and Radio.
