Students of SPUFT took second place in the IV International Youth Youth Music Festival "We Are Here" 2019

On November 29, the Academy of Digital Technologies held the awarding ceremony of the IV International Media Festival, which was held from February 09 to October 09, 2019 in two stages. Students from the WS Pro media project (T. Antikol, K. Kashkin, K. Tikhonov, P. Lebedeva) with the work entitled "The source of life" took part in the competition from St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television. They became winners of the II degree in the nomination "Best Social Advertising" on the Ecology of Life theme" in the second age category from 18 to 35 years old.

The video works of many participants were selected for the contest, among which there were many representatives of other countries.

The jury of the media festival included both foreign and Russian directors, producers, artists: Dima Liu, founder of China International Film & Media; Darina Schmidt chief director, character artist, screenwriter of the series "Luntik and his friends"; Anastasia Melnikova Deputy of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg, Honored Artist of Russia; Yuri Nikiforov Head of the Scientific Sector of the Russian Military Historical Society; Oleg Mukhin is a member of the Bureau of the Presidium of the Cosmonautics Federation of Russia and First Vice-President of the North-West Interregional Public Organization of the Cosmonautics Federation of the Russian Federation, Honorary Academician of the Russian Cosmonautics Academy named after K. Tsiolkovsky.

Polina Lebedeva, a participant in the WS Pro project, a 1st year student of SPbGIKiT, shared her impressions:

– It's great that such festivals are held. They help young people not only to reveal their creative potential, but also give an impetus to the development of themselves in the media sphere. I was pleased that a fairly large number of people from different countries, as well as different ages, took part in the competition. This means that the media sphere has a future!

The opening ceremony was attended by Julia Dmitrieva, Director of the Center for Student Initiatives North-West; Igor Sungurov Executive Director of the Union of Cities of Military Glory of Russia; Vladimir Kazakov Chairman of the North-West Branch of the Russian Military-Historical Societies; Elena Spasskaya, representative of the Education Committee of the Government of St. Petersburg; Oleg Mukhin, Vice-President of the North-West Interregional Public Organization of the Cosmonautics Federation of the Russian Federation; Dmitry Pulyaevsky Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Leningrad Region; Vyacheslav Ryabtsev First Deputy Chairman of the Committee, Head of the Department of Regional Security.

During the ceremony, experts in the field of media, film and television: Andrei Shallopa, director of the film "28 Panfilovtsev", Ekaterina Golovnya, screenwriter, director and producer of documentaries, member of the Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation, member of the guild of screenwriters of film and television and the author of more than 20 documentaries, Alexey Gorshkov, author of the project "Film lessons in Russian schools."

During the meeting, the guys were told what to look for when creating content, as well as about the prospects for the development of the media sphere. The emphasis was placed on the need to monitor the filling of the media product with a hidden meaning that will hook the viewer and give him room for thought. At the end of the meeting was a show of the best competition entries of the winners.
