Students and graduates of our University were invited to take part in the World Winter Universiade-2019

The World Winter Universiade will be held for the first time in Russia in the city of Krasnoyarsk. The largest youth sports event will bring together participants from more than 50 countries. In connection with the preparation for the Universiade-2019, the Executive Directorate will select 12 students and graduates to participate in the "Young Reporter" program. Our students and graduates can try themselves in the role of journalists to cover the event and improve their professional skills

For more than 50 years, the Universiade has been the second most important international event. A grandiose holiday of student sports unites young men and girls from all over the world. In the new academic year 2019, the Winter Universiade will be held in Krasnoyarsk, which from March 2 to 12 will turn into a world sports arena.

It is impossible to imagine this kind of event without representatives of the media. In this connection, the executive management organizes the educational program "Young Reporter", in which graduates and students studying in the field of journalism and public relations can take part. Young specialists of full-time and part-time forms of education at the age from 21 to 25 years can become full participants of the Universiade. Within the framework of the program, meetings with mentors, visits to profile lectures and master classes, excursion around the city and many other things are planned.

The program provides work in three directions: a reporter - 2 participants, a photojournalist - 3 participants and an online media specialist - 7 participants. In addition to common tasks, everyone will have separate responsibilities.

One of the main selection criteria is the knowledge of English not lower than the level of Upper-Intermediate. Test assignments, interviewing and further work at the Universiade will require students and graduates to write texts and communicate in two languages (English and Russian).

For beginners, this is an excellent opportunity to prove yourself and use the knowledge gained in practice.

The 47th Grenzland-Filmtage Selb International Film Festival will be held in Selb (Germany) on April, 4-7. The work of Dilshod Avazov (S. Ovcharov’s workshop, the class of 2023) short feature film Niso as well as We mourn directed by Elizaveta Verkhozina (A. Antonov’s class, the class of 2022) will be presented during the main competition stage.

The film script was selected last autumn at the IV Russian-Chinese pitching of student synopses for film, television and new media "ONEFUTURE". The event was organised by SPUFT, Jilin Animation Institute (Jilin City, China) and SILK ROAD MEDIA production centre.

The film "Days of Doubt" by SPUFT’s student won a prize of the XIII International Youth Film Festival "Light of the World"

The film "Days of Doubt" by Dilshod Avazov, a student of the feature film department of the St. Petersburg State University of Flilm and Television, became a prize-winner of the XIII International Youth Film Festival "Light to the World". The jury awarded the film with three prizes at once.

On 29 July, Natalia Gorina, Head of the Department of Film and Television Production, held a meeting with Evelyn Mutsvanvgwa, Legal Advisor to the Ministry of Youth, Sports, Arts and Recreation of the Republic of Zimbabwe, who was the representative of the official Zimbabwean delegation at the Second Russia-Africa Summit and Economic and Humanitarian Forum held in St. Petersburg on 27-28 July 2023.

The film "Neglekt" directed by Maria Streltsova was included in the program of the Student Academy Awards. The semi-final of the competition will be held in July 2023.

In May 2022, the XIV International Student Theater Festival "APART" culminated in Saint Petersburg. Students of SPUFT's Acting Department participated in the festival and adequately represented our university by earning 11 laureate awards. Although this time our actors did not get the Grand Prix as it was in 2021, three SPUFT's performances received deserved recognition from the jury members and the audience!
