Our university is a participant of the FIFA Heritage program
Finished the FIFA World Cup in 2018 in Russia. A large-scale sports event left a huge legacy beyond the usual sports events. It gave impetus to the popularization of sports and healthy lifestyles, and also provided an opportunity for students to apply the acquired knowledge in practice. Our University played a decisive role in the preparation of a new generation of Russian sports television specialists
Events of this scale can not be imagined without ambitious energetic people who have the skills to work with the most modern television equipment, successfully cope with their duties in a multitasking mode and are able to look at things in a new way. The students of our University had an incredible opportunity to stand on the other side of the cameras and cover the most awaited and bright event of the summer of 2018!
Owing to the Olympic experience, an exclusive agreement was concluded between our University and HBS (Host Broadcast Services), which had the mandate of FIFA for the creation of a television signal for the 2018 World Cup. The students became participants of the television part of the FIFA heritage program, aimed at further professional development of young people in the host country of the World Cup.
Our guys participated in the installation of television equipment and worked during the Confederations Cup in 2017 and the FIFA 2018 World Cup as full members of the international broadcasting center in paid positions: assistant commentator, assistant manager of the information department, assistant manager of the broadcasting department, technical assistant manager of television production.
The work experience during the championship in the international broadcasting center was extremely successful. Working together with the world's leading experts on the world's best television equipment is priceless.
On July 30, 2018, the FIFA International Football Federation sent a letter thanking the Doctor of Economic Sciences, the rector of St.Petersburg State University of Film and Television, Professor Alexander Dmitrievich Evmenov and students for their cooperation and active participation in the implementation of the FIFA heritage program.
It should be noted that our University has become an extremely successful participant in the FIFA heritage program due to another legacy - the experience of two years of cooperation with the Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS). On the basis of the University, the training center for the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi in 2014 was organized in a wide range of creative, technical and managerial positions: assistant cameramen, video engineers, assistant TV reporters, commentators, sound technicians, logistics assistants, economists' assistants.
Successful participation of students of our university in the FIFA football heritage program and excellent work at the FIFA 2018 World Cup became another proof of the high level of training of specialists in our University.
