Students of our University presented their project at the seminar of volunteers of St. Petersburg

Activists of the Volunteer Center of the University took part in an outreach seminar to improve the skills of leaders and activists of the voluntary associations of St. Petersburg. From 11 to 13 May, within the framework of the volunteer year announced in Russia, the Youth Policy Committee, together with the Association of Volunteer Centers, held an educational meeting for representatives of volunteer associations of St. Petersburg

The program was divided for the leaders and participants of the volunteer centers. For heads of volunteer centers, educational seminars were organized on the organization and reorganization of the centers. They told about various legal forms that can exist in educational institutions, and most importantly - experts gave advice on solving problems in their activities.

Participants for three days listened to lectures about the creation of projects, got acquainted with the basics of social design and invented their own social project. Representatives of the Volunteer Center  decided to help graduates of schools with a choice of future specialty / profession. Our activists created and defended the idea of the social project "Kaleidoscope of professions". The project has two stages: the creation of videos for prospective students in various professions and the implementation of programs.

As a result of the protection, the "Kaleidoscope of professions" entered the top ten projects of the seminar. In the future, the St. Petersburg Volunteer Development Council, in conjunction with the Resource Center for NPOs, will supervise the children in finalizing and developing their social projects, and will also help prepare for participation in grant competitions in the framework of the regional and federal summer forum campaign of 2018.
