Students of our University were selected for the team of the International Association of Student Television, created to cover the events of the XIX World Festival of Youth and Students

At the Faculty of Management and Media Communications, preparations for the next academic year are actively carried out, new interesting directions of students' activities are determined. To this sphere, of course, is cooperation with the International Association of Student Television.

At the upcoming XIX World Festival of Youth and Students in Sochi, the IAST delegation, consisting of forty people, will ensure the regular creation of media materials about the event.

The delegation includes young, but experienced university media workers throughout the country. Skills of work correspondent, operator, photographer are for them an indispensable condition.

From the Student Media Center of our University were proposed four candidates for the competition. And all four were selected! They are students of the direction of training "Television": Anastasia Vasilyeva, Anna Kovaleva, Anastasia Khmelnitskaya and Svetlana Nikitina.

We are sure that the students will worthy represent our University, gain professional experience, trying to apply their skills in the case. We wish them good luck at the very start of their career!

Graduate of St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television received an award in Cannes

On September 26, the award ceremony of the winners of the Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards International Festival of Corporate and Television Films took place. The jury noted the "Eye for Windows" film by the graduate of SPUFT in 2019, Alyona Mikhaylina. This film has presented the award in the "Best in Corporate Media and Television of the Year" nomination, category "Student Films". Alena received the main prize in the nomination сalled Silver Dolphin

The team of our university became a member of the Russian delegation at the International Forum "Children of the Commonwealth-2017"

From June 25 to July 6, a traditional large-scale event was held at Issyk-Kul Lake in Kyrgyzstan - the International Cultural and Educational Forum of the CIS countries "Children of the Commonwealth". For the first time in the delegation of Russia, the team of the St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television took part.

The student television appeared in the University

On April 12 took place the premiere of the first release of student television of our University "# onTHERIGHT". Broadcasting was carried out on the internal cable network of the University. Also, the pilot release was shown on a large screen in the digital cinema laboratory. The audience gathered students studying in the areas of "Television" and "Journalism", teachers of the same chair, staff of the Faculty of Management and Media Communications and Information Service of the University.

The team of St.Petersburg State University of Film and Television has worked an official videographer of the ICCE International Consumer Electronics Conference in Las Vegas. The delegation of our university included the Head of the International Relations Office Konstantin Glasman, the photographer of the photographic studio of the Film Photography Department Viktor Korolyov and the 4th year student of the Television Department Darya Mikhailova

Representatives of the University attended one of the world biggest forums dedicated to the problems of digital television and digital cinema in Amsterdam. According to the results of the University delegation participation, executive producer of conference IBC-2014 Professor David Crawford sent letter of thanks to the rector, professor Alexander D. Evmenov.

The Prospects of Media Industry Development Were Discussed at the University

Student scientific-technical conference "Digital and information technologies in electronic media industry" took place at the St.Petersburg State University of Film and Television. This is the 12th annual event, where the competition between undergraduate and graduate students is held and the winners receive grants to participate in the International Broadcasting Convention IBC-2014 in Amsterdam.

The University and Biennial MANIFESTA 10 have launched an educational project Manifesta TV

Before the start in St. Petersburg of Europe's largest forum of contemporary art MANIFESTA 10 the St.Petersburg State University of Film and Television opened an experimental school for TV journalists in conjunction with the Exhibition Department of Education. According to the authors, the project Manifesta TV aims not only to introduce their students the practice of creating reports on cultural and art events , but also to lay down the foundations for a revival of a real cultural journalism in the northern capital.
