St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television and Hainan Normal University have strengthened cooperation

June 27 rector of the St. Petersburg State Institute of Film and Television, Professor Alexander D. Evmenov and rector of Hainan Normal University, Professor Lin Qiang signed an agreement on cooperation. The visit of the Chinese delegation and the signing of the document are an important result of the international partnership launched in the summer of 2016.

Hainan Normal University is located in the provincial capital of Hainan Island - Haikou City. The university was founded in the autumn of 1949 and is the oldest educational institution of the island. Hainan Normal University is one of the leading universities in the region offering comprehensive education. About 20 thousand people study at the full-time department of the University.

The Chinese delegation got acquainted with the methodological foundations and organization of the educational process at the departments of directing and operator art. The delegates watched the best films of the University's students who received prizes at various festivals, including "PiterKit", and were extremely satisfied with the results of the viewing - they liked the films very much.

The delegation carefully studied the technical equipment of the Department of Operational Arts and the Digital Cinema Laboratory. The greatest impression was made by the motion capture studio and the telekinoprojective equipment for the transfer of films from film to digital media.

The goal of the signed cooperation agreement between the University of Film and Television and Hainan Normal University is joint projects in the field of film education. Galina Semenova, head of the teaching and methodological department, flew on June 28, together with the Chinese delegation, to China, the city of Haikou. Together with the staff of Hainan University, she is already working on the creation of curricula for the training of creative professionals in Hainan University.

- Today is a historic moment in the history of our university. An agreement with a Chinese university was signed for the first time. We hope that in the near future our graduates together will shoot many excellent films in China and Russia, - said the rector of the University of Film and Television Alexander Evmenov.

 - I am very glad that we met and signed the agreement,- said the rector of the Hainan Normal University Lin Qiang. - I am confident that our cooperation has a great future.

Recall that from 16 to 21 July 2016, the rector of the University of Film and Television Alexander Evmenov and the head of the International Relations Department of the University Konstantin Glasman visited Hainan province. The purpose of the visit was to establish cooperation with Hainan Normal University in the field of film education. After three days of negotiations, the Protocol of Intentions on Cooperation was signed.
