The student television appeared in the University
On April 12 took place the premiere of the first release of student television of our University "# onTHERIGHT". Broadcasting was carried out on the internal cable network of the University. Also, the pilot release was shown on a large screen in the digital cinema laboratory. The audience gathered students studying in the areas of "Television" and "Journalism", teachers of the same chair, staff of the Faculty of Management and Media Communications and Information Service of the University.
The opening ceremony was opened by the pro-rector on educational work Oksana Laricheva and the dean of the Faculty of Management and Media Communications Olga Chesnova. They congratulated the creators of the issue with the appearance of the TV channel and wished viewers a pleasant view.
The TV program was timed to coincide with the Day of Astronautics. The leader of the news block Valery Sokov expressed the hope that the television born on such a holiday will successfully develop and become a symbol of a new era in the life of the University.
Olga Chesnova called student television a platform for cooperation of students of various specialties who will become professionals before they get a diploma.
The content of the first issue clearly demonstrated a wide range of students interests: the history of our country, city social actions, scientific and cultural events at the University.
After viewing the issue, a discussion took place. The audience applauded correspondents, operators and editors, words of gratitude were expressed for the organization of the process of TV production to the deputy dean of the Faculty of Management and Media Communications for educational work Anna Krutalevich, and to the student of the specialty "Television" Daria Mikhailova.
Now the editorial staff of the new media is already preparing the second issue. It is planned that in the next academic year "# onTHERIGHT" TV will become an important part of the Student Media Center, which also includes radio, Internet portal and printed publications.

SPUFT's student has been selected to participate in the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity
Anastasia Semeshina, a 2nd-year student of the Advertising and Public Relations department of the Faculty of Television, Design and Photography, successfully passed the selection for the international advertising festival Cannes Lions organized by the Roger Hatchuel student academy. The festival will take place on June 19-24, 2022 in Cannes (France).

Workshop on Visualisation with a Teacher of Rubika, Supinfocom and Gobelins schools in St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television
On October 28-30, 2020, as a part of the agreement between the Institut français in Russia of the Embassy of France in the Russian Federation, a short-term international creative project was organised. The project consisted of a conference, a meeting and a 3-day workshop in 3D graphics with Damien Ancinelle, a teacher of Rubika, Supinfocom, Gobelins French animation schools.

Graduate of St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television received an award in Cannes
On September 26, the award ceremony of the winners of the Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards International Festival of Corporate and Television Films took place. The jury noted the "Eye for Windows" film by the graduate of SPUFT in 2019, Alyona Mikhaylina. This film has presented the award in the "Best in Corporate Media and Television of the Year" nomination, category "Student Films". The agreement between St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television and a member of the ruling family, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the emirate of Ras al-Khaim, Sheikh Talib Bin Saqr Al Qasimi was signed during his visit to St. Petersburg.
