The conference within the framework of the 5th St.Petersburg International Cultural Forum was held in the St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television
December, 1, The theoretical and practical conference "Problems and prospects of the development of the training system for film and television. Project approach to film education” within the framework of the 5th St.Petersburg International Cultural Forum was held in the concert hall of the University.
The 5th St.Petersburg International Cultural Forum is an international platform for meetings, open dialogue and exchange of experience between experts in the field of culture and cultural policy, government officials, politicians and businessmen from different countries, to discuss the challenges and trends of the global and Russian cultural life, a comfortable space for communication of cultural figure, potential partners and investors.
As the part of the International Cultural Forum the traditional conference was held in the University, where the most important issues of modern film and TV education where discussed. This event gets particular relevance right now, as the December, 2016, is the last month of the Year of Russian Cinema.
The main theme of the conference in 2016 is the change the approaches to the organization of training skilled personnel for film and television, which proposed to implement in film schools of the country. This connects to the fact that new educational standards were issued for the most of the specialties of culture and art, which give the university more freedom in the creating of curricula and programs. The participants discussed how to use them to align the requirements of employers, the Ministry of Education and Science, Rosobrnadzor, and which innovative educational technologies can be applied in this case.
