The participants of the festival "From Venice to Saint Petersburg" conducted the workshop for students of the St.Petersburg State University of Film and Television
Italian director Davide Ferrario and producer Francesca Bocca took up the call from the University and held a two-hour discussion with the future specialists in the field of filmmaking, during which answered the students' questions and disclosed some trade secrets.
The IVth Festival "From Venice to Saint Petersburg" organized by the Consulate General of Italy and the Italian Institute of Culture in St. Petersburg presented Italian films from 71-st International Exhibition of Cinematic Arts in Venice. Among the participants of this film forum: Davide Ferrario, director of "Soup of the Devil", Marco Spagnoli, director of the film "Women of legend. The grand opening of the IX International Film Festival of Student Works of Sound Engineers "INtonations" took place at the Saint Petersburg State University of Film and Television. More than 500 applications from 22 countries were submitted to the Festival, 69 works are included in the competition program.

The IX International Film Festival of Student Works by Sound Engineers INtonations has set a new record for the number of applications for participation. In total, the organizers received 576 works, of which 114 came from Russian film schools and 462 from foreign ones.

In March, one of the most significant film festivals in the world takes place - the Berlinale. This year, it is divided into two parts. Now the events are taking place online, but in June there is a hope to hold events for a wide audience offline. A full-length film from Russia, "The Fisherman's Daughter", directed by Uldus Bakhtiozina, was selected for the main competition programme. The selection committee of the Berlin International Film Festival got interested in this surreal story, based on Slavic tales and myths. The executive producer of the film is Maria Pavlova, a student of the Faculty of Screen Arts, Department of Film and Television Producing, St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television, group 3661.
