According to the results of the University delegation participation, executive producer of conference IBC-2014 Professor David Crawford sent letter of thanks to the rector, professor Alexander D. Evmenov. It says in part:
This year in the Future Zone, there were three young researchers from your University presenting their results – Gleb Rogozinsky, Viktoriia Chafonova and Evgenia Grinenko. It is a truly outstanding achievement for a single institution to gain three of the 14 available poster presentation slots. The posters are selected via a strict competition of rigorously peer-reviewed ideas overseen by a highly respected IBC Committee. The entries from St Petersburg were all excellent presentations of world-leading research, and they ranked alongside those from Cisco (India), 21st Century Fox (US), Korean Broadcasting System and other institutions and Universities from around the world.
I am impressed by the knowledge and maturity of the student researchers from St Petersburg and their contributions at IBC, but also I would estimate that your educational and training standards are certainly the equivalent of my own Universities and other European Universities where I have contact.
At IBC, we are also indebted to the services of Professor Konstantin Glasman, who is a member of the IBC Technical Papers Committee. Membership of this committee is by personal invitation only to leading academics and industrialists in the disciplines of film, television and broadcasting. We appreciate very much the time given by Professor Glasman in the assessment of technical paper contributions to the main Conference sessions, and this position reinforces St Petersburg as an institution very much at the leading edge of teaching and new research in our field.
